During the 1800s, the strength of America was economy and millitary. They developed really rapidly.
The significant issue of 1800s in US was the slaves and civil war.
For freedom, the slaves resisted such as kill their masters or ran away. However, during the rebellion, a lot of slaves were killed. The slaves tried to escape to north states because north states support anti-slavery.
After Lincoln became a president, the civil war was occured. As a result of civil war, the north states won and the slaves had freedom, but it takes time that most of the slaves got freedom. |
